Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks or Redundant Arrays of Independent Disks (RAID), provide a way to provide redundancy and speed for computer storage needs.

Using RAID arrays will allow data to be spread across multiple hard drives that will work together. RAID arrays use various configurations or levels (see RAID levels) to protect and increase speed of data storage.
